I am nothing but a carrier of the baton. I pass on the teachings and vibe of what has been given to me. Messages of love and compassion that have significantly enriched my life. May the baton of love continue to be passed from one to another forever and ever.
Be love, See love. These four words came to me when I was in deep meditation and asked what the purpose of my life was. It resonated so deeply then and continues to today, many years later. “Be love, See love” can seem abstract yet simple. It can be used in reflection, contemplation, prayer and mantra.
Feeling love for all and everything, I say to the universe "I love you". The universe replies with a smile and chuckle, "what do you want". Seems the universe has a lovely sense of humour. I smile too being reminded to be sincere and loving and not serious and rigid even in such privileged paths as spiritual enquiry.
Take a moment to rest in the arms of love and tenderness.
I see a cloud become rain. I see rain become the ocean and the ocean form a wave. I see the ocean become humidity and become a cloud. No death, just moisture changing form. I tune into the cloud, the ocean, the wave, and I feel joy, I tune into the essence that is beyond the form, the moisture and I feel freedom. Who am I? The cloud, the rain, the ocean, the wave? Of that moisture, beyond the form perceived by the senses? Feel into this.
While my ego is alive, I have a clear goal — to develop a heart full of love, lips of kindness, a contented mind and eyes of compassion.
Just think — let go. It's ok. Relax. Repeat on each exhale, for three breaths, maybe a few more if you feel like it.
It’s best to observe our desires and attachments before reacting to life’s challenges.
Our differences are waves on the surface of the ocean. Underneath we are all the same.
Not sure why I got the job of encouraging a loving and kind approach to life. But I have come to accept that some things are just our lot and we can either kick and scream against the flow or go with it.
No need to judge others. You never know the journey another has been on. However, it is appropriate to decide and discern the company that is healthy for you to keep. Doing so is an example of self-love.
Every day is a new day. Be fresh, even if you’re engaging in activities you have done many times before. Give your full attention. Be present, curious and bright-eyed.
Drop force, engage persistence.
I am here for anyone who genuinely wants to enquire into a loving path to life.
Love, service, compassion. Say this to yourself regularly.
Meditation, gentleness and love called to me from a young age, it just took a while to honour this calling with more determination than the calling of social expectations and norms.
Simple is very good. Don’t surround yourself with complicated philosophies, principles or people. Complicated can be attractive to the ego, mind and senses, but simple is the key to peace, connection, productivity and love.
Why post these messages? Because it feels right. Just as it feels right to go to work to provide for my family; to drive to the speed limit, to drink minimal alcohol; to eat healthy without harming animals; and to accept the decisions of others, even if I would make different decisions in similar circumstances. Sometimes it’s hard to do what feels right. Sometimes it goes against my personality preferences. Sometimes it creates internal tension. Sometimes there’s confusion while getting clear on what’s the right decision. But in time the right path is revealed and must be taken.
Be like the sun, light and steady, not too hot though. Be like the sky, boundless and free. See if you can bring these qualities together — light, steady, boundless and free.
Someday the capacity of your senses will leave you. Between now and then use them to do the things that really mean something to you.
In times of hardship, I still trust life is taking me somewhere special.
Many flit between relaxed and sleepy or alert and anxious. Let relaxed and alert be your goal state throughout the day.
Patterns everywhere. The physical world, outside us, inside us. Our emotions and thoughts. Nature of relationships. Our energy, individually and collectively. We can flow with these patterns or trudge against them.
Everything is seen through the lens of the mind. Change the lens and see anew. Purify the mind and see clearly and discover what matters.
Please take a long slow breath out, while accepting my wish for you to feel peace, even if just for a moment. Read again and repeat – if you’d like to do that.
I love you.
May I find the grace to move through life as gently as a cloud through the sky.
“Shoot for the stars” they say — an ideal of ambition. Alas, such misguided ambition is the source of so much suffering. The antidote: first, choose the stars that are worth shooting for, then aim and fire.
May my footprints be filled with love and kindness.
The beauty of the view is clouded by the mind. Once thoughts have resided all the magnificence is seen, whether in an ant, a sunrise, a rock or a human being.
Love, peace, freedom. Such high achievements and gifts but seldom arrive without specific conditions. Our opportunity is to see if we can experience these states with fewer requirements.
